Oh, hello there. I had a feeling I would see you staring at me from the computer screen. Maybe you are drinking a beverage, or eating a sandwich. I certainly saw you in a few of my last blogs: Phashion, Diamonds in the Rough (a partner blog) and so many others. I like listening to music and looking at blogs or magazines of fashion. High fashion and low fashion. I think saying "low" fashion is degrading, though. You can find clothing that is as beautiful as high fashion clothing in a "low" fashion store. Like so many "high" fashion pioneers, which I am not, I find a majority of my wardrobe in vintage stores. Oddly enough, vintage is becoming corrupted by people with power in the industry. Maybe someday people who are powerful designers will realize the creativity of old clothing. Obviously someone had something to do with it, right? Sometime long ago someone thought up a design for the piece of clothing that people call trash.
Ok, now on to new and happier things, like music. Music is so inspiring to me to think up designs. Design is inspiration. "Get inspired even if it kills you," as Tim Gunn says. I get inspired by people and music and flowers. And animals. And voices.
